Conservation
Glendhu Station has a great deal of Department of Conservation land, given by my parents before and through the Tenure review process. Native revegetation plays a very important role in improving our organic farming eco system.
We intend to work closely with the Department of Conservation to ensure these areas remain protected from negative animal impact. The department has expressed an interest in helping us showcase these areas, with some before and after photos, and monitoring statistics.
I beleive there needs to be a better relationship between New Zealand's environmental groups and New Zealand farmers in the future, otherwise we risk losingy valuable local food production. Our natural resources could also degrade through erosion and pollution.
