Water Quality
Over the next year we are going to include water monitoring in our annual records. We are very fortunate to have such vast quantities of fresh water on our doorstep and we want to work with government and community groups to ensure this water stays as pure as the snow it comes from.
In our generation the purity and supply of water has often been taken for granted and polluted. It is vital that we protect our water to avoid pollution from agriculture. We are lucky to have a great farming community around Wanaka that I am sure in time will realise that the agrichemicals, synthetic acid base fertilisers and on farm rubbish dumps all have a degrading effect on our most precious asset FRESH PURE WATER.
